Our Tent ....

Many historical groups buy the tents of their camps in a few stores or specialized site ..... we do not have enough money, but  ..... we have Strong Arm and the Titan! Through their work we have a wonderful tent, in pure medieval Norman style , with a frame made with tree trunks of our woods and an old tissue very durable.
A piece "unique" look a bit 'here .....

Molti gruppi storici comprano le tende dei loro accampamenti in qualche negozio o sito specializzato.....noi non abbiamo abbastanza soldi, ma.....abbiamo Forte Braccio ed il Titano! Grazie a loro abbiamo una tenda meravigliosa, in puro stile normanno altomedievale, con un telaio fatto di tronchi dei nostri boschi ed un tessuto invecchiato molto resistente.

Repairing gloves..........

 

 

 Titan does not like my gloves .... sometimes  I say, "look,  you made it , what do you want???!" , But he wants that I buy new ones, so I battle devastates them with the sword ....... and I have to spend two hours to repair that like a seamstress!     ;-)))
Seriously, the gloves are a very important part of our protection, and it is often necessary to perform maintenance, to the seams and to the coat of mail.

Al Titano non piacciono i miei guanti.... a volte gli dico: " guarda che li hai fatti tu!" , ma lui vuole che ne ne compri di nuovi, così in battaglia me li  devasta con la spada.......ed io devo passare due ore a ripararli come una sarta!   ;-)))
Scherzi a parte, i guanti sono una parte importantissima delle nostre protezioni, e spesso è necessario fare la manutenzione, sia delle cuciture che della maglia di ferro ......

Usually when we fight in medieval events , we take the clips made by our friens or other viewers  to assemble a movie , the movies you can watch on web......last year however we did an experiment: two nights we rely to a friend who makes profession: Massi di Loppiedo. When we saw this trailer ... we felt proud!  

Di solito quando combattiamo nelle feste medievali raccogliamo i video dei nostri amici o di altre persone del pubblico per montarli insieme e fare qualche piccolo filmato, quelli che vedete sul web....lo scorso anno invece abbiamo fatto un esperimento: per due sere ci siamo affidati ad un amico che lo fa di mestiere: Massi di Loppiedo.  Quando abbiamo visto questo trailer... ci siamo sentiti orgogliosi!

Today is officially began the work of preparation for the event called medieval streets in Aulla, whitch will take place on 25 and 26 May. Started as a joke two years ago under the name "Middle Ages on the Square" born by dr. Riccardo Boggi, the third edition is going to live. The project is very ambitious: we want to go back in two days with the most important events of our medieval history, from the tenth to the fourteenth century, offering to the public living History, shows, a medieval market and the local cuisine. All of us are at work, missing only three months, but we will succeed! Since yesterday we have also started to build the web site..... will be online soon!
So, if at the end of May you are in holiday close to us .... you're invited!

Oggi è cominciato ufficialmente il lavoro di preparazione all'evento chiamato Medioevo in piazza ad Aulla, che si svolgerà il 25 e 26 maggio.  Iniziato quasi per gioco 2 anni fa con il nome "Medioevo in piazza" partorito dal dott. Riccardo Boggi , sta per vivere la terza edizione. Il progetto è molto ambizioso: vogliamo tutti insieme ripercorrere in due giorni gli eventi più importanti della nostra storia medievale, dal X al XIV secolo, offrendo al pubblico living History, spettacoli, un mercatino medievale e la cucina tipica. Tutti noi siamo al lavoro, mancano soltanto tre mesi ma ce la faremo! Da ieri abbiamo anche cominciato a costruire il sito intrenet, sarà online al più presto!
Se a fine maggio siete in vacanza vicino a noi....siete invitati!

Middle Ages on the Square in Aulla!

Important meeting yesterday evening in the hall of the Municipality of Aulla: Councillor Silvia Magnani, the flag-wavers and musicians Historical Group and the Fellowship of the Sword have begun the preparations for the third edition of the festival which will take place the last week of May. The goal is to give the city two days to immerse in its history and retrace the major events that took place there in the Middle Ages. Since the foundation of the abbey of San Caprasio year 884 and the arrival of the relics of the saint a few years later, the time of the Fellowship of the Sword,  to the domain of the family Centurione between the Middle Ages and Renaissance, period of Historical Groups. This will be the Middle Ages to the streets!

Medioevo in piazza ad Aulla

Ieri sera incontro importante nella sala del Comune di Aulla: l'assessore Silvia Magnani, il Gruppo Storico Sbandieratori e Musici e la Compagnia della Spada hanno dato inizio ai preparativi per la terza edizione della festa che si svolgerà l'ultima settimana di maggio. L'obiettivo è di dare alla cittadina due giorni per immergersi nella propria storia e ripercorrere gli eventi più importanti avvenuti nel medioevo. Dalla fondazione dell'abbazia di San Caprasio nell'anno 884 e l'arrivo delle reliquie del Santo pochi anni dopo, epoca della compagnia della Spada, al dominio della famiglia Centurione a cavallo tra Medioevo e Rinascimento, periodo del Gruppo storico Sbandieratori e Musici. Spettacoli con le bandiere e con il fuoco, danzatrici, falconieri, battaglie di spada e l'intervento di gruppi storici da Pontremoli e Fivizzano, tutto condito dai sapori tipici della nostra terra. Questo sarà Medioevo in piazza!

Where does so much power?
Arms, for sure, and  well-trained body, but the absolute blow power comes from  technique and breath union ! The body is like a spring: . Charge off breathing, muscle spasm in torsion up .... a split second stop, the air is compressed in the abs, buttocks tight ....... Dalle braccia, di sicuro, e da un fisico ben allenato, ma la potenza assoluta del fendente deriva dall'unione di tecnica e respiro! il corpo è come una molla: caricamento  largo inspirando, muscoli in torsione fino allo spasmo.... una frazione di secondo di sosta, l'aria è compressa negli addominali, i glutei stretti....... E' un attimo, poi l'anca spinta dal respiro lancia la spada come una saetta verso l'avversario

di prendere la spada, stare con i miei amici, allenarmi con loro, combattere insieme.....non vedo l'ora!  Come i Cavalieri Templari, che di fronte ad una schiera di nemici superiori per numero non chiedevano "quanti sono?" , ma "dove sono?" Questo è il nostro spirito : NON VEDO L'ORA!!!!

Stop the Slash.......

    We do not fight against, but together, among brothers who share a passion for the sword. Non combattiamo contro, ma insieme,  tra fratelli che condividono la passione per la spada. Ed i nostri combattimenti sono ad impatto pieno proprio perchè sappiamo che il fratello che abbiamo di fronte è il primo che veglia su di noi, pronto a fermare l'impeto della sua lama se vedesse una difesa non perfetta. La cosa più difficile non è scagliare un fendente, ma riuscire a fermarlo. E quindi mantenere concentrazione assoluta sul Fratello.

So Began

Sembra che sia passato un secolo, invece sono soltanto due anni: eccoci qui, Il Capitano, il Prode, Forte Braccio ed il Germanico. Una semplice tunica da frate, un camaglio ed una spada. E poi quella sala stretta, dentro il comune di Aulla con il pubblico vicino….. è stato il nostro primo combattimento, dopo soli tre mesi di allenamento! Quando penso che è passato così poco tempo quasi non ci credo…. Poi guardo i miei amici e capisco che è vero….

The vertical slash

è il primo colpo che si impara iniziando il nostro percorso. Quando si combatte con una pesante spada a due mani non ci può essere  molta fantasia: 9 attacchi fondamentali e 9 difese , non serve conoscere altro....ma quei 9 attacchi devono essere fatti con forza e velocità, con una perfetta combinazione di respirazione e postura. La forza di un fendente non è nelle braccia, ma nella corretta esecuzione della tecnica. In questo modo la spada giunge dal cielo come un fulmine

Registration for Feisct

These days we have applied for registration to the association named Feisct (European Federation Historical Route and Tourism) . The Federation aims to enhance, promote and amplify the characteristics that history has given us, preserving and strengthening the capacity with the aim of attracting tourism, but not only : convey the historical and cultural heritage of the territories would mean making them more valuable, acquire the knowledge and value, especially for those living and working in those areas: music to our ears!
The "arm" of the Federation  right for us  is REGES (European Network Groups for Historical Events). Last Wednesday I met the two leaders of the association, Sabrina Busato and Aron Chiti, a pleasant surprise: we hope is the beginning of a valuable partnership!

In questi giorni abbiamo fatto domanda di iscrizione all'associazione chiamata Feisct  (Federazione Europea Itinerari Storici , Culturali e Turistici) . La Federazione ha lo scopo di valorizzare, promuovere ed amplificare le peculiarità che la storia ci ha consegnato, conservandole e potenziandone le capacità con l’obbiettivo di attrarre turismo, ma non solo: veicolare i patrimoni storici e culturali dei territori significa renderli più preziosi, acquisirne la conoscenza ed il valore, soprattutto per chi vive e lavora in quei territori: musica per le nostre orecchie !
Il "braccio" della Federazione giusto per noi è REGES (rete Europea Gruppi per Eventi Storici). Mercoledì scorso ho conosciuto i due responsabili dell'associazione, Sabrina Busato ed Aron Chiti, una piacevole sorpresa: speriamo che sia l'inizio di una preziosa collaborazione!

First fight 2013: Celebration of the Saints in Capalle

Primo combattimento 2013: Festa  dei Santi a Capalle
Il 28 aprile svolgeremo il primo combattimento del 2013: ci attende la piccola cittadina Capalle in provincia di Firenze . L'evento è  la ricorrenza dei tre Santi della città, Enea, Onorio e Valerio. Parteciperemo insieme al gruppo storico di sbandieratori Auree Fenici di Pontremoli, che ha già partecipato nelle scorse edizioni, portando il contributo della nostra terra nel centro della Toscana. La Compagnia della Spada farà una spettacolare battaglia in piazza, per cui....
